Sandra Vuori (b. 1988) is a Finnish-Karelian photographer based in Helsinki, whose work is deeply rooted in exploring themes of identity, memory, and humanity’s relationship with nature. Her primary medium is photography, and she operates at the dynamic intersection of constructed and documentary imagery, often blurring the lines between reality and artistic interpretation. Vuori’s projects frequently delve into the complexities of personal and collective histories, drawing on her Finnish-Karelian heritage and her experiences growing up surrounded by nature and its changing landscapes.

Vuori works from her studio in the Vallila Artist House, a vibrant community of creatives in Helsinki, where she finds inspiration and collaboration opportunities with other artists.

Vuori’s work has been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions across Finland, and she has received recognition for her ability to connect intimate personal narratives with larger societal issues. Her ongoing projects continue to push boundaries, examining questions of vulnerability, identity, and the interplay between tradition and modernity in a rapidly evolving world.
